63 Days To Go!

12 Years in the making Ronnie and Courtney

It all began 12 years ago with a happenstance meeting of two people who were on the Plenty of Fish dating site. We met for dinner on our first date. Mexican food, of course, and from the first time we kissed we knew it was something special. But, the timing was just off. We were very different people but formed a strong friendship over the approximate year or so we were "dating". We eventually both went our own ways, but the friendship never disappeared. Thanks to Ronnie's love of people, he kept in touch over the years just checking in and checking up on me and how my life was going. He would share his triumphs and disappointments as did I. We grew to be great friends over the years. In 2020 Ron moved to Tennessee but we still kept in touch.

In 2024, I had business that took to me Nashville. One day when Ron called I mentioned we would be in Tennessee on business and he offered to meet us and take us on a tour of Nashville. That was the first time we had seen each other in 10 years face to face. It was as if no time had passed and we picked up our friendship and started talking more regularly. Ron was coming out to California quite a bit to see his daughters so I got to see him when he was there. Then we realized that we really had something special. We started dating again. The distance was hard with him in Tennessee and me in California but with my work travel and his visits to California we made it work. It was just right this time. I think we both knew it. Right place, right time and right point in our lives where we could give each other the best people we had become. In October of 2026 we became Domestic Partners (thank you Ray for notarizing) and there was no looking back from there. We agreed there is no "done" and never will be from here on out.

In January 2026, I retired, sold my house in California and moved to Tennessee. While it was the hardest decision I have ever had to make it was the right one. In March 2026, Ron asked me to marry him. I was having a house closing party with my friends and our family at Sagebrush Cantina (or so I thought). Next thing I know Ron is up on stage proposing to me in front of everyone. Of course I said yes!

So that brings us to today... we are planning our wedding and our lives together. It is great to have such a loving relationship with your best friend. We got this and are so happy you all will be there to share it with us.

We love you all... Courtney
